Gorilla Plate V2 Adapter

The Gorilla Plate V2 Adapter is used in conjunction with the Gorilla Plate V2. This model has the red lever at the front of the plate by the camera lens. It was released in June 2013.

If you purchased before June 2013 you may have a Gorilla Plate V1. This has the red lever at the back by the camera LCD screen. If you have the V1 model, you need a different adapter found here.

The tapped holes on the bottom of the Gorilla plate are offset from the center of the lens for use with some of Zacuto kits. This is only a concern if you are using the Gorilla plate with other rigs that need the matte box in line with the lens/mounting screw hole. You can add this Gorilla Plate Adapter which slips underneath the plate and adds a central tripod hole on the bottom of the gorilla plate. Please note that this adapter does come with a longer 1/4 20" screw that will replace the smaller 1/4 20" screw that comes with the Gorilla Plate. You will need to take your screw out and use the longer one provided with the adapter to attach your camera to the plate.
